For those of you heading interstate over the silly season. I have been in touch with Qantas about obtaining my annual approval to carry CO2 inflator canisters with my Bike. I have received the below note.

Hi Douglas

Qantas operator (airline) approvals are issued in compliance with the ICAO Dangerous Goods Technical Instructions. As a new version of these regulations will come into effect on the 01 January 2016, we currently cannot issue any approvals past 31 December 2015.

We anticipate the new regulations will have been released by the end of the year.

I have saved your email and will issue an approval once the regulations are out.

Thank you for your understanding.

Kind regards,
