All members riding to waterfall tomorrow take note.

Cooks river bridge at Tempe is closed to all traffic until 10.00am tomorrow morning. Detours have been posted on RTA's live traffic website. Detours are via canal road and airport drive through the tunnel. Not a good option. The same will apply on Sunday 6 December.

Refer to the below link:

Road closures and detour will add a few extra km's to the ride and maybe heavy traffic. Riding through the airport tunnel is not a pleasant option.

This may not be an issue if it rains tomorrow morning but we should plan ahead for 6 December 2015.

A close read suggests we can go over the bridge on the footpath. I think that's our best option. This is what it says:

* 10pm to 10am (Sun) - Full bridge closure, however pedestrian and cyclist access over the bridge will be maintained during this time. A shuttle bus will take NightRide passengers between Holbeach Ave and Canal Road and between Brodie Sparks Dr and Wickham St.

Same on the way back.

Update - we were able to go on the shared path across the bridge on the way out. Traffic control let us turn right onto the Princes Highway at the normal spot. Went single file on the path and it was fine. On the way back the bridge was open for all traffic at 9:30 when we went through. Otherwise we could have gone on the shared path on that side.
