She Trains! Women only rides in Sydney...

Hi All,
DHBC Member and CNSW Board Member Jacqui Bogue has spent a lot of time putting together a programme to encourage more women to ride. That programme has now been released! A number of Sydney clubs have got together and are offering women only rides around Sydney, DHBC included. Note, this is different to the 'She Rides' initiative. I understand that is paid coaching for women and is driven by Cycling Australia (rather than CNSW). The 'She Trains' is free of charge and run by volunteers at the clubs.
More information can be found here.
These rides will finish and start at the same point and are aimed at those who have been riding but want to become more comfortable on the road and in a bunch. There is also the added advantage of being mid week rides rather than just, for example, Saturday Slowies.
The following is required:
1. A road bike (with dropped handle bars)in good working order with pedals & cleats
2. Experience riding a road bike
3. A current recreational (silver) or racing (gold) licence through Cycling Australia /Cycling NSW http://membership.cycling.org.au/Home
4. If not yet a member, you can purchase a one-off 3 month recreational licence for $28 or an annual recreational licence for $97.
And here is the link to the calendar.
DHBC's rides will start on the 12th Feb and will run bi-weekly. We will be leaving Marrickville Post Office at 530 to meet the bunch at 6am before heading to La Perouse and back. Coffee will likely be at Queens Park Shed. Note, the ride will not be returning to Marrickville. All DHBC women are welcome. If any men would like to come to accompany their wife, daughter, mother, aunt etc. we certainly welcome that but please let us know.
All the other club rides are women only but are certainly open to anyone interested.
Hope to see some people out there!
