So I'm in the market for a new set. I've owned Cell, DHB, BBB, Champion Systems, and they're all OK, but none are brilliant. I did have a set of Assos, and they felt like riding on a cloud. But at $250 a set, they'd want to. Anyone got any recommendations for more moderately priced option that have a similar feel?

Santini? I've bought a few pairs at the TDU of ex defunct pro teams etc. for about $20 each and they're almost the best shorts I own.

The best I DO own though are the Specialized Lululemon ones that Eleri and I wear. Oh, and Vanderkitten. Both of which I bet you'd LOVE to be seen in.

Is the requirement Better than Champion Systems, cheaper than Assos?

It boils down to personal preference and what's going for the right price. Have a look at Castelli

Assos are my fave "good knicks". Rapha a close second. But for bang for buck the DHB ones from Wiggle are not too bad. For a long ride I always pull out the good knicks. For crits it can be expensive when you hit the deck.

Anyone know about decent skin suits? I'm looking for a few spares. Might grab another Dullo one next order if I can't get one elsewhere.

Given the Assos factory outlet a run. Read a review of top end nicks, and they reckoned for comfort Asoss were the duck's proverbials. And with the Factory outlet, the price goes from brutal to merely harsh.

Tried DHB. They are in the meh pile. They're OK, but unremarkable, IMO.

Not sure if they have any left.

Got them from the UK in three days!
