I'll be heading to Dapto on the 11th May for a test run on the Ken Dinnerville Course and trip up Macquarie Pass.

Meeting Point: Central Station @5am (Platform 4 (May Change))
Pace: Middies
Distance: ~90km

Itinerary

5am - Meet @ Central

Take the South Coast Line train (CityRail)
Dep: 5:19am Central Station Platform 4, Sydney
Arr: 7:14am Dapto Station Platform 2

7.30am - Ride from Dapto <> Ken Dinnerville Course <> Macquarie Pass <> Robertson <> Return

Allow 4hrs for riding (3hrs anticipated + stop contingency)

11.34am - Train from Dapto

13.18pm - Arrival @ Central Station

I can't tell you if it's worth it for the coffee (as I don't drink it), but Robertson is definitely worth if for the Big Potato (Turd)...

ride looks good. 5h is a conservative estimate, it took me 1.5 h to get from robertson to dapto at lazy touring pace. add extra time to get up the hill and coffee. 4-4.5 5 if you wanna take lots of pictures and relax it the big poo

oh ya, just in-case you didn't realize, you've added in a river crossing ( type -34.576815,150.726153 into google maps)

I do recall a discussion we had a few weeks ago re river crossing so still in the back of my mind but doable. Can't see myself getting too excited about 'The Big Turd' so I guess revised ride time would be 4hrs (being generous). So arrival back at Dapto for the 11.34 train to Central for 1.18pm arrival.

Adventure ride has been moved, due to track repair. So 5th OK

Put me in for tentative at this stage. Will be doing my first ride back today and see how bad I feel afterwards.

Going to scrub myself from this early, sorry mate. Rode 15km today and it nearly killed me, now I am sick. Would be terrible company on a ride like this.

I'm going to shuffle the date again due to Greek Easter commitments. Looks like the family have planned a get together for the 5th.

How does the 12th sound people?

Not sure I can match the pace but have wanted to do Mac pass for ages.

I'm sure that I won't be racing along. Pace will be cruisy until the big climb. Regroup at the top. Mac Pass is on my list too so keen to tick it off. Your on the list for now....

I'm doing something on the Saturday for Mums Day. Perhaps we could flip the ride to the Saturday 11th?

Sat cant work for me. I will not have the time for mac pass prior to dinnerville.

good news is i'll be back from the UK, bad news is i'll be heading to Canberra... so i am now out

I'm glad Andrew spotted that it was Mother's Day. That could have got ugly.
I can't do the 12th but I can do the 11th.

Ok, I've updated the ride to be Saturday 11th May. I personally will need to reapply for a leave pass to cover but the day appears to be free. I still have Saturday 18th up my sleeve (so I think anyway).

Should this now suit anyone new please join the list...
