Didn't catch his name but some poor bloke passed out whilst riding back from waterfall and fell off his bike. We called an ambo but I left before it came just wondering if anyone knew how he was.

I rang Pete as we saw the 28's waiting next to an ambulance :( It was Charles. He's basically OK but has been taken to hospital for observation. Grazes etc on arm and some on his face, broken helmet. Was unconscious for 1-2 mins after passing out while riding and going straight down. Not sure of the reason for that.

Thanks to Pat for driving back to get Charles' bike and delivering it home. Charles will be overnight for observation. Doing tests to try to identify the reason for the blackout.

Yep, it was definitely me. Not that I remember anything between the roundabout and being helped into the Ambo. Hope it wasn't too scary to witness.

Particularly want to thank Pete, Michele and everyone else who looked after me post-prang. Also Pat who retrieved my bike and visited me in the hospital after doing so.

I'm only just out of Sutherland hospital - they've been testing my brain and heart solidly partly to see if there was a reason for me passing out, as I seem to have done. Both organs have checked out ok so it remains a mystery.

I won't be making the JWC which is a shame but I'll be back when my leg is healed - and I have a new bike and helmet.

Cheers

Charles

All the best Charles. Great news that you are out of hospital... How bad was the injury to the leg?

We'll miss you at Jamberoo! We'll have a schnitzel for you...

Good on you charles. You seem to be making much more sense now than you did on Sunday!

Funny you should say that - the ambos told me I was repeating myself endlessly; I thought I was being perfectly lucid, of course. Scary feeling.

Glad all is ok Charles, hope to see you back on the rides soon. People tell me I repeat myself all the time, but I really don't have any excuse.
