Well I wasn't actually there so I can't really 'report' but I wanted to tell the club that Jo got her first win in D grade on Sun at Waratah Vets at Lansdowne, out sprinting the blokes to take the win. Big congrats to Trouty

here's some pics from Ernie Smith (who seriously should provide much higher resolution photos for the prices he charges ... but anyway).

Jo did lots of work on the front

I'm sure Jo can tell you all about the race ...

Lots of short turns on the front and marking every wheel that attacked, and any riders I thought were a chance to win. No 39 did about 3 laps on the front and I was lucky enough to sit behind him, so I was well rested by the time the sprint came. I was in 2nd wheel coming up to the final straight, and I knew the guy in front was toast - so just got ready for any acceleration from behind. It was one of those lucky breaks when you just catch the right wheel. I thought he had the race, but realised 10 or so metres from the finish I could overtake him. I surprised myself. 21 riders, 34km+ average and a fun race overall. I will have one more go in D grade and then I will go up and get ready to be spat out the back of C grade:).
