Person burnt on way back from Waterfall

On the return ride from Waterfall on Sunday 2nd January the Highway was closed by Police at Heathcote.

Everyone thought it was a bicycle accident however it apparently was some guy who set himself on fire and some cyclist had stopped to assist in their lyrca. Not a good combination to stop a fire.

Michael Glennon saw someone running out of a house on fire. I stopped to offer first aid thinking it was a cyclist, but saw a guy under a blanket on the front lawn with water from a hose being poured over him. Other guys said there was a doctor there and I should move on which I did. So did Michael Glennon who had been there from the beginning. We chased the RBCC peleton who were just coming through and he made it on, and I didn't so didn't get the rest of the story.
