Anthony B had a crash with another rider from another bunch (siting on the back of us) just 1km on the return run from waterfall. Looked a bit like a collarbone and I've just spoken with Bec who is with him at St George Hospital. At this stage they don't think anything is broken, but he's about to get an XRAY. Will provide a further update soon.

Hopefully he's not as bad as first impressions.

Bec texted to say there might be a fracture from XRays. No further info.

Thanks for the humour with the thread title there Geoff.

After 8 hours or so at the hospital (why oh why wasn't I allowed to eat), the doctor found there to be no fracture evident. An ultrasound the next day revealed a small partial tear in the infraspinatus tendon and some swelling of the sub deltoid bursa. Which meant a hefty amount of pain. But with plenty of morpheine at the hospital, ice and panadeine forte i'm on the road to what is seeming like a fairly rapid recovery. A similar injury during archery left me permanently weakened and a much slower recovery, but with any luck, my stronger arm will recover quicker.

I'm not sure what happened to the other chap, I went into sub-acute, he went into acute due to rib pain and I didn't hear anything further.

Thanks to all those that assisted after the crash.
