Anyone interested in a M7 jaunt on Monday?

The plan is to ride out from Marrickville to Parramatta, through Parramatta Park (the west's Centennial equivalent so worth a lap) then up the Toongabbie Path to the M7.
40-odd kms of M7 follow, at which point it's a 3km cruise to Glenfield station or an M5 home for those feeling strong.

Cruisers pace and I need to stop to take some snaps - the reason I'm doing the ride is that I've been asked to write a story about the ride for Bicycle Victoria's RideOn magazine.

For anyone interested, the M7 path is magnificent, but has no loos and one water stop only. I plan to stop at the big service stations at the Liverpool end of the ride for a refuel.

Also, it could well be very cold out west. Today's temp at 7:00 AM was two degrees. Those of you with fancy new DHBC wind vests may get a chance to use 'em.

As Monday is a public holiday, the luxuriant hour of 6:45 AM at Mick's works for me.

I have questions...
Total ride distance =
Ride distance to train station mentioned =
Can it be a C25 pace? With singing?

About 75-80kms if you take the train at Glenfield, which will take you to Wolli Creek. 100-1-5 otherwise.
I love to sing.
And I am a very, very solid C25.
Plus if you come I'll take photos of you that could end up in a cycling magazine!

If you don't wanna ride no train, then just ride on home again!

Cool im hopefully in, i never know with this cold, ive been pulling out of every thing lately.
This whole ride is the easiest long ride that any one could EVER do id say, next easiest would be rollers. There may be a lot of glass though

We went along the M7 this morning - remarkable absence of glass and a really nice pathway - much better than expected. Not so cold once you get going though. Have fun! I'm not a starter for anything on Monday.

I thought it was the perfect place for us girls to to our time trial practice this morning - it was a good test ride. No cars, undulating hills and cornering. Great stuff Masters chicks.

I had fun on M7 today too although I did get dropped well and truly by the Masters Chicks and it was face numbingly freezing at the start in Liverpool at 7:00.

best part of the M7 is you don't stop at all for the 42k's in each direction so its good training and as a bonus for C25 riders, there aren't any significant hills. I'd come on this ride but I'm already booked for another ride. Enjoy.

Turned out to be just Terry and I and let me just say this was the best ... ride ... ever

I'd tell you about the supermodel cycling squad, the carnivale on top of the hill, the two gold medallists who gave us personal coaching for about 10kms and all the other cool things that happened, but what happens on the M7 stays on the M7 so I won't say a word.

I just tweeted about this ride and Michell Bridges, one of the trainers on Tease the Fatties (aka The Biggest Loser) tweeted back saying "great work! X"

Here - http://twitter.com/MishBridges/status/16123301856 - is the tweet.

Am not sure if I should feel encouraged, mortified, or stalked ... she once emceed a conference I attended (and was deeply average once she ran out of "believe you dream and don't eat KFC cliches, which took about three minutes).

Simon - all I can say is I hope you were looking your best on the day, what with supermodels, trainers (with muscles) and everything else you saw. We didn't see any of that on Saturday!

It probably wouldn't have ben so great without the super models and the expert gold medalist coaching but I can now say that i've ridden the M7 and can recommend it t anyone.
