hey theres a chance a few people will be riding out to the public holiday race on monday, racing and riding back. There is a chance of rain though, and we have heard that it could be off if its wet, as the corners at each end are too dangerous.
ill have to check what time we would leave.

Racing as ussual at the track on monday night.

I read elsewhere that C had a few high risk moves and one high speed bunch crash. One likely collar bone.

Your info is correct, there was a high speed crash in 'C' on the last lap just before the sprint.
l went down with about 5 or 6 others and the guy with the suspected collar bone injury going to Hornsby Hospital with the ambo's. l just sufferred some grazing and think l'll be sore in the morning with bruising to follow.

More to follow later.

Well I saw some of mark's road rash yesterday and it wasn't pretty. I reckon he'll be feeling pretty sore today.
The skin will grow back though. The badly dented top tube will take longer and be expensive when it gets repaired. Super record levers are fairly well ground down to.

Ouch...makes me want to insure my bike. I better get on to that. Glad it wasn't too serious Lacey.

Yeah l know, couldn't get back to the computer  anyway here it is.

l started at the front and slowly drifted back into the field not accelerating too hard out the turns and then would gain a place or two on the risers. l happy being mid-pack at the halfway point, felt good and the pace was a slightly slower than the Easter Monday race. Then l started to accelerate for longer, not harder, out of the corners and gained some places combined with a slight slowing of the bunch l found myself near the front. The pace picked up with two laps to go and then slowed on the last lap. l was back near the front when a young guy on my left stood up, waving his bike and moved across my front wheel. There was a touch of wheels, l managed to stay up and the guy behind me called out. Then it was into the last turn and l was fifth wheel out of the turn and went with them when a gap opened up the middle so l moved up and the then got squeezed and touched bars and went down with about five or six others.

l was grazed and a bit sore and didn't feel as sore as l thought l might have been this morning.

Time to go back to work, more tomorrow

Haven't been able to get back to this .... and thinking of Dew/Drew? the guy with the collar bone.

l'm ok but the bike has permanent damage but is rideable for now, new rim is now fitted.
