The monthly DHBC crit race at Dunc Gray should be on Sun 21st Feb but as Simon et al will be in Tasmania and from a selfish point of view Jo & I will be away, can we move the date to the next weekend, Sun 28th Feb or the weekend before, Sun 14th Feb?

After my first taste of crit racing in Dec I'd love to be part of the next one.

Can anyone even believe Stuart is keen for the Crit?? GO Stu Go.

Good to see Stu...the more people we get from all different grades the better the event becomes.

i'm sure we'll be able to work out a way to dq you again tim

if everyone's here, we should move it to the 14th. the sooner the better i reckon. are we planning on changing the race format or sticking with the usual?

Hey just to let everyone know that calendar and rule that the crit runs the third week in the month is not acurate, I have nothing to do with it & I run/organise all the crits. They have to be moved from their regular timeslot if they clash with an open as the regulars won't show up & if the track is not available.

At present I can't drive due to my broken collarbone & I have to be able to drive or have someone to pick up all the equipment from the velodrome for this to happen. So at present there isn't any real plan for the crit to happen till march, partly to do with the running of the track open and the time consumption.

Sunday 14th of Feb is also out due to Tassie.. Feb 28, could be possible??

The calendar entry was set up according to the general plan given and can be easily modified. Even better, if Simon you can co-manage the calendar through Google Calendar. Just let me know.

Entries for Jan and Feb have both been removed.

Thanks for that Simon - I thought that it was a regular date so good to have that cleared up. As for the 28th I volunteer to pick-up the stuff and drive out if that's what it will take, then I also get to save my legs from the middies pace ride out to DG that destroyed me last time (well, that's my latest excuse for failing to finish).

Cheers Stuart,

I"ve begun the track booking process. But we have to sort out a few other issues. So we'll aim for the Crit to happen on the 28th of Feb, but it's not confirmed yet.

The issue we have is that we don't have a commissaire in the club yet (required for insurance purposes) so we can't run these races till that situation is rectified or we can get somebody to help out.

Hi all,

The current situation is that no more Crits will be run until we have a commissaire who can do it on a Sunday morning. James M is nearly finished the course & I have applied for 6 new commissaires to undertake the course as well which we will fast track asap.

Since breaking my colarbone I have become acutely aware of the conequences of what could happen if no comissaire is there to write a race incident form, ie no insurance which would not be a good thing.

We will aim to be ready to go next month but this is dependent on the speed of cycling NSW.

Cheers Simon.
