Hey guys in looking ahead to the individual state timetrial championships next month I have decided that DHBC should really have a club championships as well. So I have decided to run one.

Here's the Details:

Date: TBA in the next few days (a sunday morning as per Crit starting times)
Venue: Dunc Gray Velodrome Criterium Circuit
Grades: Men U/23 & Elite, Combine women, MMA1-2, MMA3-4, MMA5-6, MMA 7-8
Distances: TBA but likely 20 laps (16kms)
Prizes: Acknowledgement that you really are the fastest individual timtrialist in the club for your gender/ age group (subject to who shows up of course!!)
Cost: $5 per person

Who can ride? Everybody with a racing licence (in the club & on special request or invitation)!!!!

Yeah, I agree Tim. Doesn't give you much time to get into a TT zone and power along.

Why don't you have it up at Calga, on the first Sunday of the month with ATTA?

They have all the gear. Doesn't need anyone to count laps.

There may be a cost involved but. The club can subsidise or riders pay there own fees.

ATTA NSW has hosted a large number of Club TT Chmpionships, and it doesn't cost the club anything.

as an example read CCCC forum thread http://www.impactcycling.com.au/index.p ... 166.0.html

Simon if you are interested I can give more details over a beer in the HBT post RAW.

man after thinking this through, id actually love to do it at dunc course!! i did all right as a time trial of it :D

but yeah, not having to count laps sounds like a major bonus, but will people all be able to travel?
(i am a supporter of the calga thing though)

Hey guys I"ve been doing a bit of brainstorming & I"ve come up with the plan for our annual time trial event & this is how it is going to work.

Date: 2nd of August; no one will really have time to prepare
Location: Valley of waterfall racing through to Auderly
Distance: approx 16kms, two main climbs, mostly down hill
Race type: officially a training event not a race.
Race licenses needed: No but none the less will be an entry requirement for the day.
Entry Criteria: By negotiation for safety reasons, based on experience ability and number of riders to be determined.
Plan: Ride out, have two people with synchronized watches, riders depart at 30 second intervals and finishing times recorded, finishers drink coffee at nearest coffee shop till all have finished.
Safety: At own risk.

i reckon it wou;ld be that bad an idea to have some thing were people with out licenses can ride, i know it would increase numbers significantly, and make it more complictaed, but as we arent doing calga in this plan, we might as well go for it.

did a quick profile of the waterfall-audley course. Comes out at 22km, and fairly even in terms of climbing and descending.

Can you post the map of the route? Don't think I have ridden it before so don't really know what you're talking about.
