3.45s over 3000m? What was he doing in the Masters category? He should have been at the Olympics and beating Chris Hoy et al!!!

hey guys, seeing this post is about the masters i thought i'd put my message in here. i just wanted to say a big thank you to dhbc and all the guys out at tempe track, especially lindsay, for getting me started on the track and subsequently able to compete at the masters. i had a great week with lots of fun, made new friends and learnt a lot more about the track. i scored a few medals as well - 4 gold and made champion of champions in my age group! lindsay and all the crew are doing a fantastic job encouraging women on to the track. you all have been very generous with your help, guidance and knowledge. i for one am very appreciative of your efforts and hope you can get more women out there competing.
cheers!

Wow, that is a fantastic result. Well done! Would love to see some video clips. It is encouraging for newies like myself trying out track. I have just managed to get over the no brakes concept.

keep going girl! we need more women on the track. it took me a while to get used to the no brake thing as well but it's so much fun! it's kinda what makes track cycling..the no brakes...learning how to slow down.... reduce your cadence...but also to take a jump! you then begin to really feel the bike. so the fear disappears and the fun begins! if you wanna see some video of the masters world championships then go to www.cyclingmasters.tv where you can see this year and last year
