Hi All,

I'm looking to get a new set of tt bars for my track bike. My current tt bars work well on my old bike. My new bike has a longer top tube and unfortunately the bars I have are not adjustable.

Does anyone have a set of tt bars I could try out? I'm looking for a set with a relatively short reach but will need to be UCI legal.

They will be used for team pursuit and kilo tt. Any pointers on fitting, legality or recommendations on what to buy are also welcome. I'll be back at the track from next week (weather permitting).

Cheers,
Noel

Yes, Integrated Stem and non-adjustable reach on the bars and pad height. Not a great setup if you want to change anything. They were relatively cheap Ritchey Carbon ones.

I'd like short reach, separate stem and plenty of adjustability in stack height so I can fine tune my position.

What I did was buy a base bar and use clip-ons, an inexpensive solution. While the hardware itself is not as aero as an integrated design, it allows for a lot more adjustment. Suggest this avenue if no one comes up with a suitable offering

I have a set of clipons already so might not be a bad idea.

What are the rules with regards to bar design for use in competition?

Probably in here http://cycling.org.au/Portals/10/Rules% ... 2013.6.pdf

When (if) they measure your bike at the NSW or AU champs they are looking to see that the seat isn't too far forward, the clip-ons don't exceed a certain distance and that the weight is 6.8kg or greater. There can't be any open ends to tubes, ie they need to be plugged or taped over. They don't seem too concerned about rules like 3:1. At the 2011 AU road champs my TT bike failed as the aero bars were too far forward, but as they weren't adjustable they let me race on it anyway

Bought a set of 3T Vola from Wiggle and a short stem. Will see how I go. Any advice on fit/setup?
