Hi All,

A great night to ride on the track. Not raining or exceedingly hot. We had 27 riders over the two sessions

The first session started with 3 Pacelines, 2 from the main track and the other lead by Alison from the warmup track.
Next was whistle sprints for the riders on the main track while it was skills on the warmup track.
We finished the session with the more experienced riders buddying up with the novice riders and encouraging them to ride all over the main track. I pushed the riders up the banking on the home straight, getting then closer and closer to the fence. Lots of smiles as everyone rode past me.

The second session started with a 15 lap Paceline followed by interval sprints of 100, 200, 333, 200 and 100 meters with the group split into boy and girls, 6 each.
After a sort break, a pair race over 10 laps. To mix it up there were two sprints before the finish. The racing started slow and stayed that way until the first sprint. Luke and Georgia won the sprint but with protests from the other riders. The pace had now picked up so with 3 laps to go, another sprint, again Luke and Georgia won, and again protests. Coming into the final lap groups had formed and from the middle Ruby and Sandro move through the field and pulled away for the win. Great team form all.

We finished the session with an elimination race, with Sarah, Jonathan and Rohan fighting it out as the last three positions for the win. Sarah was the eliminated which saw Rohan play with Jonathan on the back straight. He then pulled away for a convincing win. Excellent racing by everyone as I’m sure some of you did better than you thought you were going to.

Then happy laps before the seniors took over

House keeping
Riding Licence renewal - a number of you need to renew as your licence will expire on the 31Dec2015 so renew now before you forget. I’ll be doing licence checks next year and if you don’t have a valid licence you can’t ride on the track.

Christmas BBQ and December training – the Christmas BBQ will be held on the 9th Dec so please bring a plate to share. Can you RSVP so I can gauge the numbers for the BBQ, thanks. Last training for 2015 will be the 16th which will be a casual combined session were parents are invited to ride, Mums and Dads must have a CA licenced to be able to ride.

Bikes for sale – there are a number of bikes coming up for sale, you kids keep growing. These will make a great Christmas present! If you have a bike for sale bring it down to the track as I’m hoping there will be some interest for the others.
