Hi All,

A great turnout for the BBQ and thanks to all the helper for cooking and getting the food ready.

Welcome back to Louis and Braydon, long time between riders on the track, and welcome to our newest rider Jude.

With one session for all, we started with a short numbers of warm up laps before having a number of Pairs/Chariot races
The first race, over 4 laps, saw Braydon and Ruby ahead of Harry and Will, followed by Louis and Lawrence, Isla and Mia, and Charlotte and Caitlin.

The next race was with some faster front riders, also over 4 laps, Genevieve and Sebastian were first across the line followed by Carman and Caitlin and Juliette and Sarah.
Next a short scratch race over 2 laps between Isla, Harry and Charlotte. Harry coming in first followed by Charlotte and then Isla.

The last pairs race was all the fast riders over 10 laps. The was a well fought out battle. Braydon and Ruby tried multiple times to get off the front but the rest of the field had other ideas.
With 4 laps the go the pace quickened as each pair vied for position. The finish was a tussle between the twins with Jo and Lawrence just ahead of Harry and Luke, Caitlin and Sarah were close in third. Followed by Sandro and Sebastian, Will and Max, Mia and Jono, and Braydon and Ruby
Great racing by all.

We finish the session with and Italian, Max and Sarah choosing their teams of 8 riders. The racing was close, with both teams taking the lead over the 8 laps. And at the last change Sarah and Max almost crossed the line at the same time, max a whisker in front. Max putted away for the win but Sarah was not far behind. The teams were fairly even and not stacked.

That was it and time for the BBQ.

Congratulation to all the rider that competed at the NJTS over the past weekend. The juniors had a great turnout with two club teams and other riders in SMCA team.
Excellent racing by all. Highlights of the event were Will and Mia in their first year U15’s mixing it with the faster riders, Sarah Second in the U19 Women’s and Rudy’s dismount and side across the line to be eliminated in her heat, bruised but not injured.
Thanks to Alison, Alan, Jen and Cindy for helping the wrangle all the rider over the two days. And thanks to the riders for the support and comradery they showed for each other.
