Hi All,

With winter sport coming to an end and the school holidays almost upon us. It was a great night to ride your bike
We had 17 riders over the two sessions

The early session focused on endurance and paceline skills, starting with a 10 lap paceline, the Fox and Rabbit pursuit. The first with the foxes catching the rabbits once and then after a sort break the foxes had to catch the rabbits twice. We finished the session with another paceline to warm down.

The late session warmed up with 20/15/12 lap pacelines. All three groups working well together.
Next 1 laps match sprints. First up, Caitlin, Mia and Mica. Mica coming home first followed closely by Mia then Caitlin. Next up Rohan, Max, Luke and Adrien, Max pulled his foot on the start so was out of contention, Rohan crossed first follow by Adrien then Luke. Lastly, Zanzi, Sarah and Ruby, all of to a good start with Sarah pulling away Ruby second and Zanzi third.
Next we run the 1 lapper again but this time everyone started on the other foot. Caitlin crossed first closely followed by Mia then Mica in the first. Max just got the better of Rohan and Adrein ahead of Luke. Sarah again come in first but Zanzi got the better of Ruby in a very close finish for all.
Catch the Bunch was the next drill with two group riding around a ½ lap apart. I think most got 3 sprints to the group in front.

Lastly a Paceline for all before a quiet warm down then off the track for the BBQ

A huge thank you to all the parents who helped out preparing the food, great job.

Seeing as the number of junior riders has grown and equal number of votes and the unanimous decision to have co-captains I’d like to congratulate to our new track captains, Zanzi and Sarah are the women’s co-captains and Taku and Broughton are the men’s co-captains
