This Friday 28th March at Lidcombe Auburn track we are having a very special event to finish off a great season of track racing.

Many of you will know Ian and Gay well for their years of work developing LACC juniors. Others new to track might also know Ian from the time he has spent over the last two winters developing and sharing his passion for track at the DGV, getting new adults on the boards and into RAW.

This Friday night at Track we need you to come and support them. Last week Ian was involved in an accident that has left him with a crushed vertebra in his lower spin. His is walking around but faces a slow road to recovery. So this Friday you can help by getting involved and giving back to those that are always there for us, our juniors and track riders.

It will be a FUN night with raffles, racing, snags on the barbie and a few special events like the silent action for a chance to race against junior world champion Jack Edwards. There will be an extra special races for juniors to enter with two junior handicap cups donated by Kids on Bikes, and Cycleworld have generously donated some great prizes for the night. There will be a spin the wheel competition and toss a coin comp, so bring along your gold coin collection and join in the fun of the evening as we give something back to help Ian.

All race entries on the night will go back to supporting Ian's recovery, and if you don't race that's not a problem. For the first time ever Non Riders can sign on at the Track in a non racing grade. Every rider and non rider will get a race number and all race numbers go into the final prize draw on the night.

For more information on the night, or if you want to get involved and can't be there on the night, please contact Julia on 0412 637 655.

We hope to see a large racing turnout to give Ian what he enjoys most, a fun night with great racing. At least this Friday he can sit down and watch the racing, not something he often gets a chance to do!

Racing kicks off with the juniors at 6pm as usual and the fun activities will be running throughout the evening, so be there early to sign on and join in.

See you Friday night at the Track.
