Hi All,

Only a few drops of rain so was a great night for training. Aren't we lucky not to be having the heat wave the rest of the country seems to be having.

Welcome to Sebastian and Daniel Salah. Second training session and with Lizanne help ride on the main track between drills

We had 18 rider for the early session, including 4 on the warm up track with Lizanne.

After individual warm up, the first drill was a 10 lap motor pace behind Lizanne. Followed by the group splitting into two group for 10 laps Paceline.

Then with the help of Luke and Caitlin, it was Catch the Bunch for 10 mins or so.

We ended the Session with Scratch Races.
First the U13 Boys for 6 laps. Eadyn, Claude and Alex lead the bunch changing the lead as the race progressed. The others followed with Will and Xavier trying the hang on and Oliver dropping back. Alex must have expended too much and fell slightly behind Claude and Eadyn on the last lap as they sprinted for the line. Eadyn by ½ a wheel to Claude, then Alex, Will, Xavier and Oliver.
Next U11 Girls plus Billy, U9, for 3 laps. Another close race in the early stages with Juliette and Billy taking turns to lead. On the last Lap Genevieve put down the peddle coming out of corner 2 and overtook the field, staying away to take the win. It was a close battle for second with Billy just centimetres ahead of Juliette. Georgia crossing in forth.
The last race was the U11 boys. Louis, Luka and Christian for 4 laps. The first last everyone jostled for position, no wanting to be on the front. For the next 2 laps Christian lead followed by Luka and Louis. On the last lap Luka powered away, Christian and Louis gave chase but still lost ground. Luka home by over ½ a lap followed by Christian and then Louis.

Great racing by all. Excellent work with some very close finishes

For the Late session we had 14 riders. Starting with Paceline, 15 laps for the faster group and 10 laps for the rest.

Next, a sprinting drill. ¼ lap out of the saddle. Groups of 4, completing 4 sprints. Just to get everyone able to jump out of the saddle and sprint while rolling as some try to tempo up sitting in the saddle to sprint.

Next Lead Outs, groups of 3 or 4 most running through 2 drills.

Lastly warm down for the last 1 ½ minutes of the session.

House keeping

The Bike storage room, please put your bikes away neatly when finished. It make it easier for everyone if the room is kept neat and tidy.
One bike was again left in the stands and not put away, the culprit has been spoken to previously and will be penalised.
