I'm working all but the 28th, and even then it's a morning shift, so may not make it to racing.

Kevin Llewellyn is. You'll be his off-sider.

Well I don't know if Kevin is full-bottle on the vege burgers actually so I'll sort them.

It's Ted's b'day, so I can't help. But I'll swing past and drop the lolly bags down to the canteen while the juniors are on.

I'll help for juniors wherever (hopefully avoiding BBQ!), and seniors, although I'm racing too (at least a very loose interpretation of racing).

OK. I'll be there at 3pm for the juniors. I can help with the canteen during the seniors carnival. Btw: what does a marshall do? I've already disqualified myself as a lap counter given my previous form and recent head injury :-)

Thanks Justin and Dougie - look me up when you get there and I'll give you a job.

Does anyone have an RSA (besides Dougie) licence? and is willing to help out for a couple of hours from say 6 or 7?

Day 2 of the Sydney Christmas Carnivals 2013

The Cernovar Christmas Carnival

On the line entries are accepted.

Venue: Tempe Velodrome
Start time: First race at 6pm

Day 2 Tempe
• Rnd 1 Warm up scratch race
• Rnd 2 Graded Wheel – Race
• Rnd 3 1 Lap screamers
• Rnd 4 Mystery Lapper
• Rnd 5 Handicap Miss’n’Out and Veloflex Madison Challenge

Last year a few people had trouble with GPS's. So address is: Bayview Ave, Tempe 2044 (nearest landmark is Tempe Train station)
However GPS's have hassles with the suburb, so try Earlwood for most from memory. But people may also need to try, Tempe, Turrella or wolli Creek and then it should come up. Or better still use a map.

What a great Carnival Tempe put on tonight. Great work from the volunteers and Eleri for organising at short notice - You can't beat Tempe track for a great atmosphere. All the boys did well....but a special mention to all the girls riding the carnival, DHBC seemed to get a place or top 5 in most races. Zansi is one watch - and she raced really well all night. She always positioned her self well, and if she gets a break on you - LOOK OUT!! Good luck for points to those doing all 5 carnivals. How exciting was that Madison too - well done Chubsy and Tom!

Great carnival.

I think I left without my white cap and ray ban sunglasses. Did anyone pick them up?

Raybans were put inside the canteen .. I guess if you go to track next week they'll still be there. No sign of cap.

Yes, Adam and I spotted a cap. I believe that should also be inside the canteen.

Was a great carnival and everything ran fantastically from a racers POV. Thank you to all the volunteers that gave up their time and to the organising team.

So many highlights of that carnival - it was just great. And nicely capped off by a win in the Madison from Alex and Tom who seemed to come from last to first in the send half of the race. Really well ridden and a comfortable win in the end. We were all screaming ourselves hoarse up in the stands!

But back to the beginning, all the juniors turned up in numbers, raced their little legs off and with great spirit and clubmanship. Great to see the future of the club growing before our very eyes.

My thanks also to everyone who lent a hand to get it organised and do the hard yards and to our beverage sponsor who helped it all along towards the end of the night. Great work DHBC!!
