Hi All,

Another great night for riding, a brightly clean track and excellent weather.

We had 13 riders for the early session, starting with a 10 lap warm up motor pace.
After a sort break the group was split in 2 for a group pursuit. With Tom Bolton leading the faster group and Caitlin and Taku the slower group. This week the faster group had to catch and pass the slower group twice to complete the drill. Both groups worked well and stayed all together.
Kierin racing next, two laps behind the Derny (Tom) and 1 lap to race. First the U13s, Eadyn got into the best position behind Tom and a gap widened ad Oliver dropped off the pace with the others trailing. When the Derny pulled off the track Eadyn had 30m on the rest of the field as the others had to round Oliver to be the chase. Eadyn crossed first, followed by Lawrence, Claude, Will, Xavier and Oliver.
Next the U11’s. This time the group stayed together for the laps before Tom pulled off the track. Juliette shot to the front first closely followed by Genevieve and Christian with Louis and Georgia at the rear. Genevieve and Christian show their strength and overtook Juliette. A Great race with Genevieve winning followed by Christian, Juliette, Louis and Georgia. The last race was Georgia and Louis back up again with Will, Sam and Sarah (LACC). This one was only 2 laps and the group held it together for the Derny lap. Sarah, Louis and Will moved to the front with Louis crossing the line first followed by Will, Sarah, Georgia and Sam.

Ending the session with a warm down motor pace in two groups.

The later Session saw 19 riders take to the track. Welcome to Josh Stevens, Jake’s older brother, back after a break from riding.
We started the session with the redline group motor paced by Tom for 30 laps, increasing the speed after the first 10 laps. Riders left the group as the speed go to around 40+kph with Zanzi fixed to Tom’s wheel for all but the last lap. The black line group worked a paceline for 20 laps. Mostly working well but more work is needed on maintaining a constant speed as a group.
Next Win ‘n Out. First the U13’s. Some confusion by the members of the group saw all the boys disqualified with Darani winning the first sprint and Mia second. The U15’s were more organised and was Taku take the first sprint, followed by Francis, Max, Rohan, Caitlin and Rosie. Lastly the U17+19s Brendan won the first sprint followed by Zanzi, Josh, Liam, Jake, Ruby and Alison.
Next Kierin for the age groups, U13s first over 5 laps. Adrien and Rory fighting for the win with Adrien coming home by a whisker to Rory, then Darani, Mia and Luke crossed together and Luka. The U15 over 6 laps was another close tussle before Taku pulled away to win, followed by Max, Francis, Rohan, Caitlin and Rosie. The U17+19, again over 6 laps, Brendan on the front early but was pigged back by Zanzi as she wound up on the back straight and then flew past him the cross the line first, Liam also fought hard and vied for second with Brandan by didn’t quite get there. So Brendan second then Liam, Josh, Jake, Ruby and Alison.

While the racing there was excited yelling from the parents in the stands which was great encouragement to the riders.

We ran out of time but the BBQ was ready so up the grandstand to eat. It was a great success as almost all the food eaten.

Congratulation the all who raced at Bowral last weekend, especially Zanzi for a silver in the Women’s Silver Bracelet Wheelrace

It's the last training session of the year next week so let have some fun. All Mums and Dads, with a valid CNSW licence, come a ride with your children. It’ll be relaxed night but we may have to stage a parents race! Start time for all will be gate open 4:30 and on the track for 5pm so we have the full 2 hrs.

Next Year we’ll start up again on Wednesday 15th Jan at the same times. Take note that the track fees will be $10 and discounted to $5 for volunteers.
Some of the helpful jobs

• Helping to Wrangle/Marshal the riders
• Mechanicals
• Meet and greet new arrivals
• Record/time keeping

The club is also looking for people to become a qualified Commissaire, a great way to help the juniors at events.

Rider Licence renewals
As most riders’ licences expire on the 31st Dec. it’s a good time to renew so you have your new licence for next year.
I will be doing a licence check on the first 2014 training session and if you don’t have a licence, you can’t ride, no exceptions

Birthdays
One birthday this week, and it goes the Lawrence, have an enjoyable day.

Thanks again to James, Tom, Taku, Caitlin and all the parents that were handlers and helping with the BBQ
‘til next Wednesday

Colin
