Hi All,

This was the first evening of the new dual session format. We had a good turnout of 11 riders for the first session and 18 riders for the second session.

We started the first session with Taku leading a motor pace with everyone following for 10 laps
After a sort break for a drink it was another 10 laps, the group split into 2. Lizanne leading one group a 25kph and the other, Caitlin leading at 22 kph. Increasing the speed slightly after 5 laps.
Another sort break and back again for another 10 Laps, this time a little faster, Lizanne’s group at 27kph and Caitlin’s at 25kph.
Next we run lead out’s in pairs so everyone go to pair with a equal rider.
Lastly the warm down with Lizanne leading everyone for a quiet 10 laps to finish this session.
There were some tried and red faces at the end of this session. I think everyone rode more laps than ever before! Great work.

The late session rider were champing at the bit to get onto the track, circling the warm up track as the early session riders finished their session.
The faster rider first completed 30 laps Paceline while the others rode around 25 as the group split and lost of their lap count.
Next, a ladder interval speed drill, sprinting 100m, 200, and a full lap the 200m , 100m with rests between sprints. This was with groups of 4 riders and seems to work well until the older girls got into it and gave up half way through. Not the drill was not over.
Finishing the session with an all in warm down motor pace lead by Lizanne.

Next week’s session

Again the new times so remember the gates open at 4:30 for old Group A to be on the fence ready to roll at 5. We’ll start from the basics and work up, trying to get in lots and lots of laps

SCODY Junior Cup on Wheel at Dunc Gray this Saturday 1pm start.

It will be a enjoyable afternoon event... and many hands make light work (etc)! Please contact James for more details.

As most riders’ licences expire on the 31st Dec. it’s a good time to renew so you have your new licence for next year.
I will be doing a licence check on the first 2014 training session and if you don’t have a licence, you can’t ride, no exceptions

This week we have one birthday to celebrate, Happy Birthday to Darani, hope you had a great day!!

Another Big thanks to James, Lizanne, Michelle, Taku and Caitlin
