Hi All,

School’s back and almost everyone came down to the track, we had 23 riders, including 4 newbies.

A warm welcome to Rory Plummer, Rosie Weller and great to see some younger siblings having a go, Juliette Triccas and Louis Walton.

Lizanne worked with Rory, Rosie, Juliette and Louis on the warm up track while I wrangled the rest.

First up after individual warm ups was the usual paceline drill.

Next, Group A performed 2 rounds of the lunchbox drill. Great to see Christian up the top of the bank for the first time.

Next Group C with a 2 lap time trial. All starting well and times have improved since the last effort at this. Standouts are Sarah improving by 5 seconds and Alison by 2 secs.

Lastly, as we were running out of time, group B with lead outs. Isaac, Toby, Adam and Luka in the first round. The last 200m as extremely close with all finishing within a bike length. The second round with Darani, Mia and Adrien, with Adrien finishing very strongly ahead of Mia and Darani.

Was great to see so many parents in the stands, cheering on the riders.

Upcoming events

NSW Junior Metropolitan Track Championship, Feb 17 at Lidcombe Oval. Entries close this Sunday and I think all riders with a racing license should attend this one so please enter. There will be events for U9 up to U17. We should get a big team together for the day.

LACC Friday night racing. Broughton will be racing there on Friday night, sign-on on the night. If you can go, race and test out their track. Gates Open at 6.00 pm, registration from 6.15, Racing begins at 6:30pm for Juniors and 7.30 pm for Adults

This Sunday we’re having a working bee down at the track to give all the club bikes some TLC, gearing audit and clean out the bike store. If you can spare some time to help out please come down, gates open at 2pm.

The National Track Championships are on at the moment at Dunc Gray. SBS will be showing live coverage on Friday and Saturday night starting at 7:30 so if you can’t get out to watch some of the action then ask Mum and Dad if can watch some of the telecast.

Birthdays
Happy birthday to Will, have a great day this weekend.

A special thanks to Will for the goodies he brought back from the Tour down Under to give to everyone.

Thanks to Lizanne, John and Stuart.

until Next week or Sunday, which ever’s sooner

Colin

If anyone is interested we could make a weekend of it staying somewhere on the friday night ad competing at both events. send me an e-mail and i'll look to organize.

Also Save the date for the ANZAC day Track carnival in Bowral April 25th. a really good day out in the country

Racing is some of the best training you can get, it doesn't matter if you have never raced. it's all about giving it a go. If you have any questions about race tactics i'll be at most of the carnivals to give words of wisdom.

For Sale
A really Schmick looking tiny Fuji Bike 550 ono.
it's been up for a while so you may be able to get a deal.

Free to a good home
2X shimano cleat pedals.
well used, but in good condition. springs are loose(but can still be tightened), and perfect to learn how to clip in and out of.

If you have free time on sunday, come down and give a hand with the store room clean out.
See ya

It was a great afternoon.
All the club bikes were worked on. The pile of broken wheels sorted, with a bunch sent to be fixed, thanks Adrian.
Treasures were found, and the floor was swept!
And although it was fun, could everyone try to keep it clean and the bikes in one piece, so we don't have to do it again for a while.
