Hi All,

Another great turn out for the Christmas BBQ, we had 19 riders and their families.
All the riders were eager to ride and not just eat!

Christian was given an early Christmas present, a new 20” Hillbrick. He was so excited he wanted to get onto the track before having the bike adjusted.

We had a light session with individual warm ups and then everyone n Paceline

The main event for the night was eliminations. Toby, Isaac, Adam, Dexter, Christian, William and Xavier in the first race. 2 lap neutral then eleination lap and then another eliminate lap every 2 laps. Xavier was the first to go but pushed part to stay in the group. Christian next, in his first race with the group, excellent effort. Next a bit of a mix up with Will being eliminated and Dexter thinking he was it so he stopped. Adam had pulled away and was ½ a lap in front of Isaac and Toby. Isaac got the better of Toby on the next out but was to far behind to catch Adam to contest the last lap.

Next was a bigger group of 11 riders. The first laps were nice and easy and then it was on, with Luke being the first out. No one was willing to take stay in the lead so it change quite a bit. Mia was the next out, then Ruby. Tess next just pipped by Alison, then Matthew, Luka and Alison. While the action happened at the back, Sarah had been leading the group for a good part of the race, this effort final took its toll and she was the next out, great effort this left Taku, Francis and Rohan, with Taku and Francis pulling away and Rohan trying to hang on but was eliminated. Taku and Francis then slowed for the final laps eyeing each other waiting for other to make the move. Taku jumped on the back straight with Francis trying to hold. The finish was close with Taku getting the better of Francis by only ½ a wheel. Great racing and the crowd really enjoyed it

Lastly to finish, Motor Pace behind Tom.

And finally we go to the BBQ. All tired and hungry. Nothing but salad left for the seniors!!!

What a great year, everyone has improved so much. In the new year I will be looking at changing the groups moving some of the riders up to the next skills Level group.

Hope you all have a good and safe Christmas and New Year

See those who can at 3pm on the 30th for our Christmas Carnival

Many thanks to James, Lizanne, Michelle, the Mums and Dads.

Till next training session, Wednesday 2 January 2013

Hey Colin and co, just like to say you guys have done a great job with the juniors. I got to see a few junior races at the Christmas carnivals which were fantastic to watch. Great to see how much the juniors program is growing.
