DHBC Juniors Training, News and Statistics 24 October 2012

Hi All,

Another packed night with 19 riders.

Just a quick post this week.
James and I will work on a proper a schedule for the training sessions which I will post with each newsletter.

First, Individual warm ups followed by Paceline drills

Next , Whistle sprints, groups of about 4 riders for 4-5 mins sprinting on the whistle.

Finishing with Motorpace, Broughton leading one group and Taku the other

Racing

Congrats to Taku and Broughton for second and thirds in all the Lidcombe Auburn CC Track Junior A’s last Friday and also to Tom Bolton for a third at last weekend D grade at Heffron.

Again Friday night Lidcombe Auburn CC’s Spring/Summer Track Racing out at Lidcombe Oval Velodrome, Wyatt Park Gates open at 6pm, Junior racing at around 6:30. See http://tinyurl.com/LACCTrack for more details.


There is lots a track racing coming up again the first event for U13’ and above is the NSW track Open the 3rd Nov, Entries close this Sunday. See http://www.nsw.cycling.org.au/cy_nsw/ra ... /12279.htm , I got the closing date wrong last week.

We will also be holding a Juniors event on the 30th Dec as part of the Christmas Carnival. I’m still looking for volunteers, please let me know your availability

Extra Training for the girls

All girls are invited to the women’s Track program, the next session will be Saturday between 3-5. See http://www.dhbc.org.au/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3351
I will be there to help out so come on down. Even mum’s should have a go!
