Hi All,

We had 10 rider turned up and welcome back Melina.
Michelle was down for a visit, great to see you and thanks for helping Lizanne on the warm up track.

After individual warm ups, the first drill was Paceline. Splitting into 2 groups, one the older riders and the other the younger riders. Each group working well together. Was one issue with traffic on one change over and also people thinking the drill had finished so slowed down. Please don’t stop till you’re told.

Next we tried an Italian Pursuit, two teams racing each other with the front rider peeling off after sprinting for 1 lap. On the back straight were team 1, Fabian, Broughton, Rohan and Toby. Fabian starting and finishing. On the front straight team 2, Taku, Francis, Tess, Darani and Dexter. With this being the first time at trying this there was some confusion but after a few laps and some coaching from the sidelines, we had a good race to watch. Team 1 can in 8 seconds ahead. After a short recovery break, we ran the race again, this time everyone knew what to do and it was excellent to watch. Strangely team 1 coming home in almost the same time, .09 of a second faster. Team 2 also faster by almost 5 seconds. Well done all rider for putting in a great effort.

Next were Lead-Outs, Fabian, Taku, Broughton and Francis. Then Tess, Darani, Rohan, Toby and Dexter. Again for the first round there was some confusion on how the drill was performed and the sprint started early and not the flying 200 ‘T’. Each group completed two rounds.
As it was late in the session, there were a number of riders on the track for the last lead-out. Rohan show extremely good bike handling skills to go around a couple of the slower riders on his sprint around the 4th corner coming into the home straight. Well done.

Lastly, Bill started a Motorpace, again the amount of traffic stop half the riders getting onto the train on the first lap. Everyone did have a good go at getting on and trying their best to hand on. Fabian and Taku making it to above 40 kph after a number of laps.

Of note for the night, we have pictures of Lizanne riding a 650 and enjoying it!!!
