Hi All,

Looking at the forecast, the rain should have gone away but may be a cool evening.

Being a public holiday, I will be opening the track at 4pm, for some fun I ask that you bring your parents so they can have a go on the track before we start the real session.

Both Mums and Dads welcome, if you have cycling shoes and pedals bring them along, come and have some fun and see what it’s all about

Some news for Simon Bolton regarding the NSWIS training camp held over the school holidays

A few of the senior juniors attended the NSWIS training camp for a week at Mount Panorama during the vacation. They were Peter Livingstone, Chris Hageman, Bill and Tom Bolton. They had a great time with about eighty other juniors from around the state - riding about 350 kms and listening to talks from NSWIS coaches and a number of successful riders. Most importantly they made a lot of good new friends from the cycling community. Peter had to head back to Sydney but the others then took part in the NSW Hill Climbing Champs, the NSW Crits and the Blayney to Bathurst race - all of which were based at Mount Panorama over the weekend. Despite tired legs the boys did really well, with Chris getting 7th in the U17 hill climb, and Tom getting 8th in the U15 event. Bill Bolton sprinted to third in the U17 Div 2 Crit. These were the boys first go at each of these event types so were impressive efforts. Unfortunately Chris was sick for the B2B, but Bill and Tom had strong and enjoyable rides over the 70km learning a lot about how to ride a longer race. Asked if they'd recommend the NSWIS camp to other DHBC juniors next year, the response was "Definitely. It was really good."

See ya Wednesday

Its probably worth mentioning that if any parents do want to have a go on the track they will need a least a cycling NSW 'ride it' license. I know its a pain but its a requirement for insurance.
