Hi All,

Great turn out for a cool school holiday night. We had 7 starters with one new tryout, Matthew Norman, Jessica Llewellyn’s 13 year old Cousin and Grace Sixsmith, the return of Alison Wallace’s friend. The jumpers were on and even a pair of tracky dacks.

After the warm up we had a motor pace paceline for 23 laps with Lizanne being the motorcycle. Alison, Tess, Mia and Francis completed the first 10 laps at a constant pace of 20kph, then for the next 5 laps the speed was increased to 25kph. For the following laps the pace was increased to 26, 26, 27, 29, 30, 32, 34 and 36kph. Tess was the first to leave the paceline followed by Alison, then Mia and Francis stayed till the end. Well done Tess after a long break and to Francis for pushing Lizanne. A good 7km drill!

While the motor pace was running Jessica helped out by running a trainer session with Caitlin, Matthew and Grace. Given then a no resistant sprint session, 10 x 20 sec sprints.

Next, 1 lap Time Trial, good times by all even after the long paceline and the killer head wind on the finishing straight. Francis now under 39 seconds, Tess still making her comeback, Allison, and Mia putting in great times.

We finished the session with Francis, Alison, Tess and Mia performing the ‘catching the bunch’ drill.

Some news, I rode with Taku and father James at last Saturday’s Slowies, other commitments have kept him from the track and hopefully we’ll see him back soon.

Now to the reminders
