There was a time I am told that every open carnival in NSW would have had 3 deep crowd of excited spectators watching in ore as some of the most gifted and talented track riders in NSW would take to the velodrome in every open Track carnival. Local winners were hailed as champions and achievements were heavily celebrated at the pub afterwards. As RAW has taken over from the opens carnivals as the place to race, this year DHBC will attempt to bring back the excitement and glory of open racing by holding a competition to see who can be the most successful wheel race rider for the 2011/12 season. All success will be celebrated and riders will become champions!!
Rules-
1. All wheel races ridden in the 2011/2012 Open track season count (all other club level wheel races excluding DHBC events count as heats not finals, ie Lidcombe Friday nights)
2. Riders are responsible for updating their own point score by posting in this thread their achievements
3. It is the responsibility of everybody else to recognise and praise each individual achievement through this thread.
4. For every top 5 finish in an open wheel race final, DHBC will hold a party in honor of that person!!!
5. All wheel races are handicapped, so everybody has a chance!!!

Yep. But it was for second place not the win. The more important thing at the time was that, Benny Kersten was on my wheel. Is that Benny elliot winning that sprint?
