Starts- what do the times mean

Hey this is going to look like a dumb question...but im trying to work out what distances the splits represent
Can anybody help?

Are you referring to the standing sprints at Canterbury (Tempe) Velodrome?

You will be told be some that its 250mtrs, its actually 200mtrs

The split is at the 100mtr mark, ie half distance.

Typically you will do the second 100mtr's in half the time of the first 100mtr's, so if you did the first 100mtrs in 12 seconds then it will take 6 seconds for the second 100mtrs. This will vary between individuals and gearing.
