Hi Everyone,

Two training sessions this week with the U17 men's pursuit on Monday and an enthusiastic bunch of 12 riders on Wednesday in, thankfully, cooler conditions than last week! Stats have been emailed as usual.

Thanks to Phil for a really fun session of sprints, a miss and out and pursuits. Well done to Tom Bolton for winning the younger riders sprint and to Adolfo Velez-Munoz for taking out the U17s event. The DHBC U17 men's pursuit team put in a promising time over 3000 metres, and are sure to improve by the 26th of February when they compete in the Club Team Pursuit titles at Dunc Gray Velodrome. The Team has been finalised: Hugo Venville (Captain) Chris Hageman, Bill Bolton, Hugo Thompson & Tom Bolton (reserve). Congratulations - keep training hard and best of luck on the day. Congrats to Callum Goldsmith (SX) who took out the Miss & Out and to Team 1 consisting of John, Sam, Seamus, Tom, Adolfo and Chris H. who won the closely contested Italian Pursuit. Remember if you want to enter the junior carnival that runs from 3pm before the Pursuit event, you must register online at Cycling NSW by this Sunday.

Water Water Everywhere
If you're thirsty and up on the railing, but can't reach your bottle just raise your hand and we'll bring it to you.

Excursions
Several DHBC Juniors took in the excitement of the National Track Titles at Dunc Gray Velodrome last Friday and Saturday. We saw some great racing, including Anna Mears taking out another sprint title and the country's best U17 Men's pursuit riders - we're all pumped to race now!

Road Training
A number of the juniors are planning to do the Waterfall ride this Sunday. I cannot guarantee I'll ride, so parents should be aware of this. Parents are welcome on the ride if they believe they can handle a ride average or 25 kph or faster over about 70kms. Each bunch has a ride leader whose directions must be followed. Many of the juniors have ridden in the 28km average group and without incident. The bunches leave from Mick Mazza's Shop on Marrickville road before 6:30am.

Extra curricula
The two Hugos are participating in the "Warrior Dash" this Saturday on the Central Coast. It involves mud, a military-style obstacle course and getting in touch with your primal urges. Be afraid... be very afraid! I'm told warriors who complete the course are awarded horns.

DHBC Open Riders
Took some times for DHBC open riders on Monday, and always glad to do so when time permits, so just ask. Here they are for your records - Flying 200m
Nathan 13.19
Pat 12.74
Matt 13.12
Alex 12.74
Thanks to DHBC Adult riders for your understanding while the U17 Men's Pursuit team are training on Mondays until the event on the 26th of February.

That's all for now!
Keep Rolling
