I'm keen. Sounds like a good chance for me to get on the track and have a race.

Nothing like racing against a bunch of state medal winners to remind you how far off the pace you are...

I hope to be there so you will have at least 1 won-nothing-er to beat.

Have to say a big thanks to the organisers of the DHBC Omnium this month. I never thought I would see the day when there would actually be a green salad in addition to the usual sausages and bread. Food was great and we even had our unofficial sponsors bring crates of beer..that was a nice touch. PA system and music supplied by Ian, commentating and photography by Stuart - all added to a fun and well run night. The usual troopers like Lindsay, Kevin, Chris, Simon, did their share of organing, purchasing and cooking.

Stand out performances by Mr Pink (Alex) and the very fast juniors that raced with us tonight. Pity about Chubbsy and I getting relegated in the Maddison, but I blame the person on the score board for not putting up the last lap. We got the moral victory anyway.

Glad to hear it was yet another success, and boy-wonder alex in his pink kit rode well.

That was a great night. Thanks to all the organisers, and providers of bbq/salad/beers.
I was surprised the turnout was a bit small, but it was a perfect time to learn how to race at least.

Thanks to Hugo for the madison lessons too. Those juniors are quick!

Don't worry to much about it Lizanne, I like to make excuses because it's never my fault.

Definitely a good bit of fun, even though none of this short stuff suits me. That excellent Bernard beer definitely helped with recovery.

Hahaha. I wondered why you did another lap. I was standing next to Lizanne and not only did she change the number, but she rang the bell as well. Who does two laps after the bell? I think there's a UCI rule about a rider being blind AND deaf!

Blind, deaf and dumb are more like it.

Ok - here's the link to some photos. Best to click the slideshow button at the top left for best results (and then go for full screen). There would have been more but I was called away for commentary duties. Pity no one got film of my famous and very in demand start handler work - I was awesome and really had no idea at all what I was doing - just ask Jessica.

here's a few of them
