IAN (Denker) GOT GOLD!!!! in the sydney metro championships!!! nice work Ian!!

Alex Chubb had a very respectable time in the 2000 metres persuit to take third or so for the elite class.

Simon Llewellyn took the long way through sprint event beating me i the repecharge, to make the semi, where he came second riding around the field, then he came SECOND! in the final!! in front of Brendon Cole, and another mountain bike convert guy who has been flying.

Yeah the races that stood out were Ian's win from a break away in the scratch race...I think? That was awesome, and Simon's 2nd in the repecharge to get 2nd in the final, that is a hard fight. Overall a bit disappointing with limited numbers for woman so all the W2 through to W7 woman had to race in one race. It did make for fast racing with the likes world champs Michelle Crawford, Lise Benjamin & Lee Johns. I was more than happy with coming 4th in all races and overall points. Yeah... the food after wasn't too bad either.

Stuart took some good photos of every one so I will post the link up shortly.

There was 1 girl registered but I don't know her, they would have just chucked elites and masters all in the one race - You would have enjoyed the pace.

So I've put up lots of pictures ( a fair few sequences). Many need cropping but I haven't time at the moment - feel free to download and crop them yourself! If you want an original size shot just PM me - these are at 1600 pixels.

Hey Timmy,

One thing I did notice was you were single voice I could hear when my legs were hurting at the last lap of the 500TT. The cheering does make a difference!!! THanks!
