Well it was big night out at Dunc Gray tonight as the boys showed up in force to help the fight to maintain our good positing in FNWTR... I'm pretty confident we will reclaim our 15th spot from Parra but we'll await the official results. We had a team of five strong, equaling our best for the season.

Adrian stepped up to make his debut in Div 5 and fought hard against sickness. His most memorable ride was definitely the handicap which he gave away 100 metres over 4 laps. Adrian rode hard and fought with all his energy but was piped just on the line. I might add he did have his first win for the season & beat a current world record holder...

Racing at the Dunc is always an enjoyable experience...

Grant made his much awaited return to racing tonight & performed well in Div 3. Mr Bond as he is better known was unable to use his stealth & no cigar tonight but maybe next week at Grafton!!!

Image
Louie had a night he would rather forget as his energy levels we think must of still been on that plane coming back from Ireland, but he will be back to full flight by next week I'm sure!!!...

Image
Tim was back for more, pushing hard to get in the race after missing the gun & having to pull back a gap which opened, but none the less had an enjoyable night...

Finally I got out of bed to make the trip out to the Dunc for another night of racing. I pulled a third or more correctly got pulled to a third in the keirin. Hopefully this will help me back into the top ten in the point score...

Well boys the news is in, we're back up to 15th with enough points to hopefully pull us through the Grafton weekend & allow us to defend our 15th in the last week! I would like to thank everybody who made the effort last Friday night & hope your all having alot of fun racing. I'm hoping we can aim towards having our biggest turnout of the season for the last week party in two weeks time on sept 21st, if most people can come? we could maybe even have a crack at 14th?

I just have to pipe in and say how much fun it was to have a good group of our riders come along...seeing other riders giving it a crack really spurs you on...solid performances all around...Now if i can just control those rushes of blood to the head and save my efforts for the right moments!

Thanks very much to Joan for the fantastic photos and for braving the cold in the stands, Simon for the great race report as well as to Gillian for the Gatorade and Chips runs..

I also really enjoyed the post race drink and pasta..a great chance to relive the thrills and catch up with the other riders...a tops feature of the friendly community that is FNWTR...unreal..
