G'day all,

Sorry that there was no omnium this month but it has been busy with racing and other social events. However for the month of May we have a big one coming up!!! This will be an international keirin styled carnival in which all riders will be required to nominate a country which they can relate to. They must then do their best to dress in the colours of this country but more importantly bring a dish to eat from that country!!!!

Where: Tempe velodrome
When: Saturday the 15th of May
What time: Racing will start at 4pm, gates will probably open about an hour earlier.
Who can come: Racing is designed and sanctioned for everyone in the club with a racing licence.
Races: scratch races, country defined team events and to finish an international keirin!!!

NOTE: Riders do not have to have any historical ties to the country they select but most importantly must be able to obtain food from that country. It would be best if we get a wide range of countries so we have a fiest. I will supply a basic bbq as well to ensure we have good eating!!!!

SO come along have a feed and enjoy some racing....

***Subject to the veune being confirmed...

Christian, does that mean you're bringing a rotting shark?

Sadly, I'm going to my farm the day before so won't be able to make it. Fantastic idea Simon! I'm almost tempted to put my trip off.

This one was Lindsay's idea & I liked it!! So I was waiting for a date that he could come to, which come to think of it I haven't actually checked. But we will just have to move it if there's a problem.

I'm taking the weekend off riding as I think I'm on the verge of sickness, and right now self preservation is my priority.

But I might still make it down for food! If I can get there that is, as all of the food I think of making isn't very transportable by bike.

Craig, I've left the NZ jersey hanging up at the back of my place, can't miss it. I won't be home, so cruise by and pick it up.
