Not many - 4, which definitely wasn't far enough to be causing physical problems as I have ridden far longer, far faster.

I guess I now have a benchmark for the next one. I will try to improve my cornering.

Weiyun, I think you are missing the most important factor - there was a new guy there on a Cervelo Soloist. His additional aero would have added at least 3-4 km/h while on front.

Given that weight is not a limitation of performance on the flat, I'd say a pre-race tuned Crap Bike™ can be a contender for short course criterium racing under 30km. Heffron Park here I come! :wink:
You'd have to ride platforms. Adding clipless + shoes would triple the cost of the bike!

I have an elevation graph from last weeks Waterfall ride. The climb is 241m over ~20 km (starting at the bottom of the the Captain Cook Bridge). I will post it when I get home if anyone is interested.
