don't stand around in cleats when you're not riding.
Another reason to like the MTB SPD cleats/shoes. You can even push your bike home (or up the hill :) ) with them on.

Thanks Stu. Yes, and there's often numerous logging trucks. I'll be out there EARLY and hope the return is uneventful. The ride from Wauchope on is the best bit. I've had dura-ace, ultegra, 105 and Tiagra over the years. Still have dura-ace, 105, Tiagra and Deore (and some Campagnolo). They all work fine, and really, you wouldn't know what it was unless you looked. They've all been very reliable but the secret is to keep your running gear clean and lubricate...
