we haven't been to the one in sydney, but martin who has says it's of the same standard.
the dishes we had were fantastic. my nephew works as a chef at jimmy likks in potts point and they view longrain as competition. after eating at both, i think longrain is definitely in front.

The alarm went off at 4.30am as we had to be at the start for 5.30. We were with Martin and another tandem couple we know from Coff's who were riding their Santana. The start was very slow as were at walking pace for the first few kms as when the lights changed red it would take a while to get going...

Slowies is a great introduction to riding in a group and for learning road and bike skills. Most of the ride is on road with the majority being quiet back streets except for a short stretch on Enmore Rd on the way there. As this section is done at about 6.45 cars aren't a problem. Pace is about 19-2...

We didn't get up until late and took the dogs for a walk for some exercise.
We'll be at track on Wednesday.

Sailing starts tomorrow so hopefully the wind wont be as bad as tonight. Wind speeds of 67km/hr were recorded at Canterbury this evening.

after riding in the rain for the last 2 days for some strange reason Marian doesn't want to ride this morning. i'm going to reset the alarm for 7 and see what the weather is like. If it's keeps raining, is anyone interested in having a coffee at Cafe Bo Bo at 9.30?

What's a train??
Atrain is something that is more expensive than a plane so we'll be flying down via virgin.
$140 each way per person by train.

Just found this explanation on how signal loop detection works for signalling traffic lights to change.

We'll both do the ride. I'll see how I go for the ride back. Last time we did the ride we had some good food and beer at the Five Islands brewery. Didn't feel like a long ride afterwards :D

From what I've read, the Swiss Stop yellow pads are the best and work equally well on carbon or aluminium. Marian has them on her road bike and they seem to be wearing ok.

I dont think it was the wheel flexing, just the tyre.
Wheels looked like 48h Dyads which are normally used as a tandem touring rim.
I was wondering how he avoiding pinch flats.
