I was having very occasional issues with numbness on my old saddle. This would only occur on particular rides - Centennial Park was guaranteed to cause me problems, presumably because I'd hold the same (bad) position for sustained periods. So I went for a saddle by these guys: http://www.sellesmp.co...

And unfortunately we can only have one design as it relates to CA race recognition. At this stage, I would suggest that you track riders discu...

I reckon C would look pretty good in a skinsuit. Yeah. Obviously it's subjective and everyone'll have their own opinion but I'd much prefer that. If we're keen for some black on our rears and want something a bit more dynamic we can just insert some black panels thusly: http://i680.photobucket.com/...

Campy Chain
After another round of hilarious DIY hijinx on my bike I've found myself in the awkward situation of having a new 10sp chain and chain link but no chain link guide with which to install it. So next time someone installs a new 10sp campy chain could they keep the guide pin and pass on to me if possib...

As Mick said D grade was chockers with DHBC today. The blokes at sign-on asked me if I wanted to go up a grade but I declined and said I wanted to finish on the podium before I went anywhere. After last week's frustration I kept off the front till the 8th lap then kept a close eye on the contenders ...

Yeah, by that stage I was dying a thousand deaths so it wouldn't have taken much to get back on my wheel. I have to say though that when I looked back down the straight I thought my break looked much longer than 40 metres! Wishful thinking... We well and truly paid our dues in that race and it was f...

I got sucked in as well. I got to Mick Mazza's at what my BlackBerry told me was 6:35 and didn't see anyone and set of off to chase thinking the group was 5 mins ahead of me. Finally caught them at the servo on their way back and discovered that I was an hour behind the rest of the state. BUT Since ...

Ta Weiyun. I've been nursing these cranks for the past two years but haven't had the foresight to collect any tools in that time so now that I've got the new cranks I'm feeling quite impatient and am inclined to just get it done by a pro as you suggest. The other thing I meant to mention was people'...

Replacing Campy Cranks/BB
Right, so I've got a replacement set of cranks as mine have well and truly done their bit. They're missing the chainring bolt that goes into the crank due to a stripped thread and the BB sounds like an empty spray can with the mixer rattling around inside. Anyway, after taking note of the yellow war...

Well this was a fairly interesting morning...arrived at sign-up to be told that there was no D grade available and I'd have to race C. I was then fairly surprised to see 10 or so D-graders head off just before they let C grade go. Anyway C grade pace was fairly easy, so easy in fact that I had to as...

KOM Cyclery Series Race at West Head tomorrow
Is anyone thinking of heading out to this? I'm going to give it a shot rather than go to Heffron this arvo.

I drove up there and was getting my gear together out of the car when I realised there was a vital piece of kit missing - my shoes. Not a happy memory. I think I saw Eugen there but I was so pissed off I'd lost the power of speech so I didn't say hi. I like the looks of this one though and will prob...

You'll be fine. I raced C a couple of weeks ago in my first race ever and it was also the first time I'd seen the track. I got a bit of a fright at how fast the corners are taken but otherwise the level was pretty comfortable. I had a turn or two on the front, tried a half-hearted breakaway (obvious...

I went. It's difficult to hold a placard when you've got both hands on the bars but I certainly heard plenty of bystanders asking what the ride was about and being informed of what was happening and why. To get to the starting point in Hyde Park from home in Marrickville I rode up Broadway and then ...

I'm sorely tempted to give this a shot. I don't have aero bars but I figure for a 14k TT I can muddle through in the drops but my worry is the climbing. What sort of cassette will you guys be using up Mt Hotham? I'm running an 11-23 at the moment which got me through RNP this morning but I think I'l...
