Re: Ride Report - Tour Down Under 2013

That is facinating reading. It's very good to see data used that has some "reality" to it. According to the researcher one needed to hit 26kph to be in the "top half" of the amateurs. My Strava shows EXACTLY 26kph. I certainly didnt have much left in the tank at the end. I would ...

Re: Ride to Conquer Cancer October 12th/13th 2012

Greg, The Brisbane ride was a couple of weeks ago. It appears they had a 50K ride in the afternoon of Saturday to keep the boredom at bay. its either that or we hit the TAB at the Camden Hotel and slap $5 each way on the Dish Lickers at Mandura. My concern is staying awake during sentry duty watchin...

Re: Waterfall ride: Middies vs Fasties

Mike, that was probably me on the 29th pushing the C25's pace. I was trying to catching Eleri and the rest of the 25's when bringing back three riders whom dropped out at Sans Souci after bits started falling off their bikes. I had them in the mid 30's along the Grand Parade. Clearly my over the sho...

Bike Case - Great Price

I know that there has been discussion from time to time on bike bags and cases. I just got an email from Torpedo 7. Their Bike case is on sale. I have one of these and it have served me very well. $190 and it would appear to be freight free! http://www.torpedo7.com.au/products/R7BCWN0EC/title/route7...

Re: Waterfall ride: Middies vs Fasties

I think the biggest leap will be trying to move between 28's and Middies. As the Middies get fitter the gap gets bigger. The leap is not only one of fitness but that of bike handling skill also. It seems to me that in the 28's the hammer gets dropped at Marrickville to the Princes Highway. This is t...

Re: Waterfall ride: Middies vs Fasties

So if you're one of the middies that likes to push the pace, Alan, then ride up a bunch, there is no shame in getting dropped.
i think there should be kudos in moving up a bunch and being subsequently dropped. Shame doesn't even enter the equation.

Not a starter for 2013. Holidays all used up in Europe. Enjoy. Although I was going to suggest 'DHBC Grupetto' or 'DHBC Autobus' for next year :-)

Proud dad! Marc, should have been a model. Seen here with blue steel.

Yes, marc rides a Blue Steel. If you look closely you can make out the model on his downtube, "Zoolander". It's an odd make and some riders have reported handling difficulties as it doesn't turn left........

I recall the judge saying a couple of times that he wasn't here to consider the negligence of any other person than that who was before the court.
