They look well priced to me. The advantage of a trainer can be adding resistance to your ride. It turns out only to be a problem for a track bike for the most part, as you can go up gears on a road bike to some extent.

I would be much more likely to ride fasties if it was an even fast bunch, and not just a smaller group trying to crack people. So the plus idea is good, then all the people who are into the idea of a bunch that rides like a break away can ride in it :)

Yeah, you can't do a serious time trial with out them unless you are quite super fit, though need to do some training in them, as they can use some different muscles. You will be surprised at the massive difference they make! It feels like about 2km an hour faster.

I don't think I will be doing any thing long for a couple of weeks, I have been doing half hour roller sessions and it has been stuffing me up. One of my legs actually looked like I had polio a couple of weeks ago, it was that thin! I am not sure how long it will take before I can ride 80km

Ok, I had 6 weeks off walking after knee surgery, can now walk with a limp after 2 weeks back, and plan on being a road cyclist within 3 months. So may be using this thread again!

I still can't dance Ian, or I'd be interested. As to roller dancing, I reckon it's good to learn no hands and do some group YMCA sing alongs on the rollers, great for handling (seriously! I don't do a lot of no handed on the road, but I do a heap on rollers, it's easier!)

I always thought those bikes were only for rich cyclists, I hadn't thought about people who only time trial, so you could have a fixie and a time trial bike. I don't know if guys think down of girls on pink bikes

I don't know if this is a positive or not, but I reckon our lads could have gotten a bronze or silver in the elite, not sure about a gold. It is always hard getting a team free of injury etc :(
