I'm not sure. Roughly perhaps but it was basically negotiated between Geoff and the guys at the club. They asked us to put down our average speed when we signed in.

Unfortunately its personal choice. The saddle that Joe Blow likes may be uncomfortable to you.

I have 3 saddles and only like one of them, which is the original one that came with the OCR. Have seen many a complaint about this very same saddle.

I've been in the habit of asking fixie riders how many inches and the answers have been between 62 and whatever Simon runs.

The rule I'd apply, if using the fixie for commuting, is what gear is required for the steepest hill on the route

You have to like the look of what you ride. For me, compact geometry does not quite do it. I dig classic geometry. I might be some old fashioned curmudgeon, but thats just me.
Yes I agree, its personal preference. I've ridden both and it doesn't really worry me.

Theres very little difference between compact and standard geometry nowadays. Wouldn't get hung up on that. It really boils down to your priorities in what you want in a frame. BTW Geoff, my track bike is 56cm and it feels a tad small to me, but is OK. Definitely 54cm is too small for you.

I had a look at the shimano shoes today, they are a bit dorky I guess but with double straps over the top you probably wouldn't notice too much... they do look good for the job & the price...
If it comes to the crunch, I mosey down to cell and get some, but there must be a better option

I brought some tape off PBK for the OCR, but its crap. Heffron C grade report from another forum; Hey Mike...well I would have been no use at hefron today...it was windy and a good turn out (25ish)...but I got dropped at 4 to go and there were only 7 left ahead of me.My av for the 34mins was 178/max...

I'm use to using just the front brake already, I often brake that way.

Dropped by at Ashfield cycles, they showed me a picture of the shimano lace up shoes for $99. Didn't have any suitable pedals.
