Re: How to be Seen at Night

@Anthony K - I'd be wary of mounting a light on the back of your helmet. Trouty had one and when she had a crash where she hit the back of her head on the road, the light smashed the back of her helmet and dug into her head .. causing injury where none should have happened.

I'd say more likely they weren't even looking for cyclists and nothing would help. But, extra front strobe light is a good idea - I run two lights in winter, both of them on. Hi Emma. There is E grade - probably a good place to start. How much riding do you do a week? E Grade will be about 45-50 mins + 1 lap. D grade will be 60 mins +1 lap and you'd want to be a strong C28 pace rider to stay with the bunch (depending on how many riders turn up on the day).

Sun 22nd. Standard RNP Waterfall in C28's pace. And yes this week I will not go out on Fri night and destroy myself in a manner reminiscent of the 80's. I will be there.

I use an Evoc (semi-hard) bike bag . They are quite expensive to purchase (although we got them on special at Wiggle for about $300) and you have to think about what to do with it at the other end if you're not just staying in one place as they don't fold down that small and will take up a lot of ro...

I'm going to do an Easter Friday 3rd April 2015 ride to West Head (no Akuna). Pace at that of the slowest rider, which is likely to be me :-) Ride targeted at C28 pace and above riders. You should have done at least 2-3 Waterfalls with the C28's or faster before coming on this ride as there are basi...

Hi Richard - what age is your son? We do have some juniors regularly riding LaPa and the bunch looks after them but we need to think about the ride home too as the bunch splits up - some go to work, some go to coffee and some back home, which may not necessarily be Marrickville.

The Dulwich Hill post office is a long way from the Gladstone Hotel carpark which really fronts Canterbury Rd and is very open. Issue would be that slowies would have to ride down Marrickville Rd which is not going to fly I wouldn't think.
