The other important issue I understand with water bottle and cage is their fit. It's wise to take your bottle with you when shopping for a new cage. Some just don't match well and rattles all the time.

I looked for Ritchey WCS bar and stem too but didn't see them in any of the stores I visited. I get the impression that those WCS components are made on the Mainland rather than in Taiwan. But they all had lots of Thomson components for some reason.

Looks much better with smaller flares. But from a strictly optical point of view, flares should only exist in a single direction.

One other item. The letter H/B/C seemed to be off-centre with respective to the circles surrounding them. :wink:

Yes, that would be very good once a club member has attained a certain level of fitness. Personally I also like the Waterfall-Audley direction for RNP for the same reason I never felt safe on the return leg from Waterfall.

Now we'll just have to work on achieving a 30kph average with RNP... :shock:

The other issue to consider is how secure those plastic ones can hold their bottle. I recently read about a crash at a major race that was caused by a bottle that bounced out. It was over a fast down hill pave course.

Gees, you wear them down fast. Mine is still working away although I really needed extra small. The small feels loose after a few washes. Good enough for my morning rides.

Find one of those Asian shop run by a seamstress. They are usually quite good with their needlework. You should find them plenty in Ashfield.

I wouldn't go to one of those tailors. Suites maybe but not worth it for this kind of work.

Don't know about Simon, but I've grounded on one of Heffron's corners once also with my present 175mm crank. Managed to hold my line and didn't cause any drama.

If I get to build up a new bike, I would definitely go 170 or below and would seriously consider 165.

The market for road bikes is so much larger than track and the available choices reflect that. And then the bulk of that choice are made in Taiwan/China by OEM companies, and Giant is probably one of the largest at that.
