Re: The annual festival of pain that is the Fitz's challenge
I would like to do 160 Jo. Did 200 the last 2 years.
But
I am half thinking of doing Alpine Classic in 2015 and I don't know if 200 in 2013 counts as pre-require for ACE 2015.
Does anyone know?

I would say that at least half of the times that I don't get right of way while commuting, the driver is either on the phone or focused on something in their lap.

Re: Fitz - Sunday October 27 2013
Timings are up on the web site. My elapsed time, a whole 6 minutes faster than last year My place, much better to count from the back than the front, 6 riders behind me last year, and six behind this year. I wonder if it was the same 6? So I think that makes 6, 6, and 6 and I did chat twice with the...

Re: Fitz - Sunday October 27 2013
Jon, I think Peter and Andrew's ride reports above capture it pretty succinctly. But to fill in a few of the gaps: I went into this year's Fitz thinking that I am significantly fitter than last year and should do it quicker, easier or both. The result, almost as hard and no quicker. I think next yea...

Re: Spring Ride October 2013
Well I had a very different Spring Cycle to Beejay. Rode the 15k with my 16 yo daughter who I don't think has been astride her bike for at least 2 years. Then stopped at Le Chocoreve for a double helping of very excellent chocolate croissant on the way home. We stopped for scenic snapshots. We chatt...

In my mind, 1.5 metre is better than 1 metre but 1 meter is way way better than nothing.

Advocacy - Petition to Legislate "A Metre Matters" in NSW
NSW Parliament member for Balmain, Jamie Parker, has given notice of a Bill to require at least 1 metre overtaking distance when passing cyclists. If you feel that this is an important initiative then please take the time to sign the petition below. Even better, sign the petition and write to your l...

So while we are quoting rules, I have a solid dose of rule 7 and found myself quoting rule 5 to myself as I tried to hang on the back while Keith and Andrew punched tirelessly into the wind on the way home.

Re: New Club Ride Commences 7th October - RNP
Thanks guys for a great trip through the park. And thanks for waiting for me numerous times. My first time up Bald Hill. Having ridden down a number of times I was a bit scared but it didn't seem that bad. Certainly doesn't compare with The Wall. Next time I think I need to organise a cooler day. 41...

Re: Adventure Ride - Where to next ?
Wyong via Wiseman's sounds grand.
http://app.strava.com/routes/20275 I think Strava's elevation data for some of this is kaput but the rest of it looks good.
Has anyone ridden the Wiseman's Ferry Rd?
