Re: Daylight Saving on Sunday 7 Oct - dont miss Waterfall!

Oh, in that case I think I'll have to give Waterfall a miss.

If I have to set the alarm to wake up at 2am to change all the clocks I might be a bit tired by the start time...

See you all next week.

Waterfall - Saturday 6th October @ 6am

I'll be riding this Saturday morning to Waterfall with my Dad in preparation for the R2CC. Might also suit those foolish enough to be attending the Fitz's in a fortnight. Should be a relaxed ride but want to leave early to beat the traffic. When: Saturday 6th October Where: Marrickville to Waterfall...

Re: LBS that has test saddles?

I got my Selle SMP from the Giant store in Clarence Street. They gave me a loan saddle for 1 week or so.

I guess like my shoe debate, it definitely pays to try first. I'm glad I did that with my seat. Happy to wing it on my shoes though....

Re: Sidi v Shimano Shoe Sizing

I've pulled the trigger and estimated I'm a 43.5. Will take advantage of Wiggles new returns process if they aren't right. They have 25% off the Ergo 3 Speedplay model and a £40 voucher bringing the purchase down to a more palatable $330.

Sidi v Shimano Shoe Sizing

I've seen some anecdotal info that Sidi are around x1 Euro size smaller. I'm looking at ordering a pair by tomorrow online. I'm a 43 in Shimano and find them almost right if not a smidge large (Could go a 42.5). Does anyone else have a similar foot? If so, what did you buy? I'm thinking of getting a...

Close to it.... Depending on consensus we can pick a route to suit. I've really been enjoying Bobbin but leaving early is a must.

Falling

I had a few touches of wheels in last weekend's Crit @ Heffron. Re: some new wheels

Thanks Adrian.... I really must borrow that book on wheel building you were talking about the other day. :!: How many holes should one go for? The advantages of a stiff 32 hole rim are obvious. How much difference to the ride will dropping that to say 24front/28rear and will that make a big diff to ...

Re: some new wheels

The price is definitely right, the build, not the best but even paying someone here to get the spoke tension right you'll still come out way ahead. I would highly recommend Chris King hubs, they should last around 15 years if looked after. Also the Velocity A23 rims are great, the HED Belgium is a ...

FYI. My average pace door to door yesterday was 28.7km/hr. We waited at the top of the major hills to regroup but the pace was pushed on pretty hard, which I felt on the last climb. There was a good run in in the way back too. My pace dropped off when I hit the wall in the last few kms and could not...
