I'm keen for this one. Sounds like fun, but I'm not sure whether I will be away for work then. If not, I've got a light and a cyalume stick ready.

Re: DHBC Giro D’Maggio: Kilometre Grand Tour challenge May 2

Simon and I were discussing the DHBC Giro this morning, and following up on that I have done a couple of calculations on the whole distance posted. Adding up the km posted by everyone for the month of May, as a club we collectively pedalled (drum roll ...) 21300 km! But then I thought about this a l...

Re: DHBC Cleans up at Eddie Sales Cup

A fun day again. Congratulations to the prize winners. In fact everyone from DHBC seemed to be doing well. I was running a bit late & was surprised when I signed on they had me down for B Grade. I was able to negotiate that down to D, but they are still very reluctant to let me race in E. I mana...

Shame on all of you for not noticing Amy's new shoes Ahhh Mike, I think you might be having a lend of us there ... Re: Time for a new phone

I've got a Wildfire (no "S"), which I got with a phone plan. Seems ok to me, but it is the first touch/graphic phone I've had. I've found I'm using about 3 to 5 megabytes of data each month, which is much less than I had expected. YMMV

My first flat for the year - a big staple picked up on Marrickville Rd about 0640 this morning (running late). Repaired it (+1.0) outside The Shop Formerly Known As Mick Mazza's, then off to CP and 7 times up the bloody hill. [saw the burnt out car still on the bike path on my way home. Because I'd ...

I tried to enter too - same result as Mike.

The start list as at 27 Apr 2011 5:39:48 PM lists 51 competitors, of whom: MORGAN-THOMAS, Eleri (WMAS5, Dulwich Hill BC) is our only representative. (Good luck Eleri, we know you'll do us proud!)

I'll see if I can enter tomorrow.

Re: DHBC Criterium Championships ROUND 2 - Sunday 17/04/2011

Damn, I'm away this weekend too.

With Stuart out also, E/F grade is looking a bit thin & open to burglary. So a good opportunity for anybody who hasn't raced there yet.

(Best wishes to Simon S who I hope will be there flying the flag for Team Shimano Sora (Z grade) in my absence.)

Because of my starting location, if the rest of you don't end up riding out from marrickville, I'll pick between option 1 & 3, depending on the weather . Simon, I'll pm you my mobile number - any chance you could SMS me if you guys are taking option 1,2, or 3, rather than the ride out? Ta. Andrew

Hi all, it looks like there's eight or ten of us doing the ride, and a couple of you have mentioned you live near the Cook's River path. Rather than clog up that path, or bore everyone with its lower reaches, I figure we meet at George's River Road, then go together the rest of the way. Here's a ro...

Hey Andrew, can you sprint ... dunno, I've never tried. I suspect my aptitude for sprinting is probably nicely described as "a few teeth short of a chainring". I'm keen to do my bit though: I'll try to enhance the laminar flow of the air around the bunch, by presenting a nice aero shape o...
