To stop cramping, I stretch of a night time and drink heaps of water, whenever I can. If I am going for a long and/or torturous ride, a few days before I will start drinking lots of mixed up Endura. This is great for warding off cramps. As far as losing weight, I'm not too sure because I've always b...

I have quite wide feet and I'm enjoying great success with Lake shoes at the moment. They are not euro enough for me though, so when I'm overseas I'm going to try some Northwaves or some of those Specialized ones on for size.
Lake though, are fantastic.

Wanted - 90/100mm Stem with 31.8 to suit 1 1/8th steerer
I just bought some compact drops for my road bike that are 31.8 clamp, so I need a new stem. The catch is, the person I got my forks from cut the steerer pretty short, so the pinch bolts on the stem need to be pretty close together because it's a tight setup. Re: New Australian criterium series
I hear the Coogee criterium today turned out to be a carnage due to water on the road. There were maybe three 'crashes' at the top turn, and two at the bottom. It was a pretty cool event, a lot of people just walking past were asking my two friends and I (obvious cyclists due to our attire) questio...

I saw someone riding off oxford onto crown st yesterday evening around 6:20pm, in a DHBC jersey. I was at mad mex having a wonderful burrito. I don't remember the bike he was on because I had to many beers, but I think he may have had boardshorts and a backpack.

Good luck in the madison Alex/Simon. I'll be in nowra for the two weeks surrounding that race, and can't justify getting a train back up when there are no events for me in the program.

Victoria spotted me this evening while I was out walking with my wife. She was in the DHBC jersey and I was in extreme walking clothes, so its kind of an 'unspotted'.

Spotted Brian Yewenji riding his recumbent at Hercules St Dulwich Hill with Bike Marrickville. I honked the car twice as I passed and he ignored me thinking I was an irate driver behind the wheel. The double-beep is universally accepted as "Hey! I know you!". In my opinion anyway. It's mu...

I'm really looking forward to this. I'm going to try and improve on my 13.4 from last time, even though I've not ridden much since June.

Wow. Was it caused by inexperience? I hope Matt is ok, and crashes like this don't deter people from putting on more events. Should we start a donation from everyone to get Matt a new helmet? $5-10 each here and there would get a bit together.

Re: DHBC Rider bends Taxi door with knees of steel
I believe the law is worded something to the effect of, "One must exit a vehicle in a manner not to cause harm or discomfort to another party". So if you're lane-splitting, which is perfectly legal, and someone car doors you, you'll be in the right. However it might not seem like it when y...

No late fees huh. Guess I'll just sit around home in my derps instead. I realise on the day entry is harder for organisers, but with my work/life schedule, I don't know what I'm doing three days from now, let alone two weeks or a week's time. It makes trying to race anything but RAW a real pain.

Glad this thread was made as it's cleared a few things up for me. Being my first club road ride, I wasn't sure which group to go with so I thought I'd try the 28s, and 20 minutes into the ride I was wondering where the '28' came from. I must say that it didn't really bother me that we went faster th...
