Re: Come and try the track - Saturday 2nd March 1pm

A late change of plans was annouced at the weekly cabinet meeting last night. The Minister bluntly expressed her desire to start off on holidays a day earlier than previously planned. My apologies, I will have to withdraw. 1. Jonboy 2. Dougie 3. Anthony K ( a definite maybe, will try to convert this...

Re: Incident on Sunday near Sutherland

Ouch. Glad everyone is OK. I still can't believe that people rode yesterday. Too much wind for this big duck. I view the Mad Mile Sprint as a good training point. After 60kms can I still kick into a sprint? Maybe the solution to the problems with the Mad Mile Sprint isn't the sprint itself, but the ...

Re: marque hire?

I have been meaning to mention something about this. My Uncle and cousin work for Pages Event Hire . I can't promise anything, but I could have a word to them about marque hire. Or even better, ask them to contact you. Pages is a pretty big hire place, they are contracted to handle all the V8 Superc...

Re: Original DHBC logo!

Nice. I do like that they've kept some part of the current logo on the jersey. Also, is that a Babici logo I spy? When will they be available to buy (I assume some proceeds go to the team)?

Re: Sunday Bunches - Do you like this possible option?

(Mind you I was rather keen on the complicated data collection options. Because then we could have a fine old argument about the algorithms we needed to run the analysis. Because, dammit, we'd be running it every weekend. But it would certainly fix up handicapping advice to race directors. We'd hav...

Re: Sunday Bunches - Do you like this possible option?

To support Christian, if enough fast or strong Middies move up to Fasties, the average speed of the Fasties drops and the easier it is to hold on. Same for Middies and C28s.

Re: Ride Report Johnny Warren Jamberoo Classic 2013

My day started waiting for the bunch on Bestic St, Kyeemagh. Too lazy to ride to the cafe, I waiting a lengthy 5 minutes before deciding I'd missed everyone. So I pushed off, sitting up to let a small group catch me. New plan was to hitch a ride to Loftus with some friendly strangers. They were frie...

I might ride down as well. I don't have a lock on the bike so I might need to lock up to someone else.

Re: Hill Training Ride Suggestions Please....

Just today I remembered a nasty little climb. Especially when you're already struggling, as I was. Not at all convenient though. Catch a train to Stanwell park, then climb to the Princes Hwy. 5 km with a long and nasty beginning. Rather than the train you can add it to a waterfall ride. I'm mad eno...

Re: Johnny Warren Jamberoo Classic - 10 February 2013

I'd like to thank all the riders that stopped to help Greg today. Only a couple are with the club, but they helped stabilise and comfort Greg before medical help arrived. Also a very big thank you to the Stanwell Park SLSC member who stopped to assist, and arranged medical help from fellow SLSC memb...

Re: Bobbin Head Cycle Classic - Sunday 24 March 2013

I did this ride last year, as did a few others from the club. The route has changed from last year. We went through Bobbin, across the Hawkesbury to Mt White and back. The organisers wanted to change the route each year to keep everyone interested. It's the normal mix of fast riders to cruising week...
